Sound of Salt has the largest sea salt facility in Korea with a single unit of 2,000m². The best sea salt has been found here for 4 generations! They are known for using a traditional method of producing sea salt by using Korean earthenware tiles, called ‘onggi’, for their salt ponds.

 

Sea salt is produced through evaporation of seawater. Various trace minerals like potassium, iron and zinc are left behind in the process. The minerals add flavor and color. Due to ocean pollution, other foreign substances or micro-plastics can be found, but Sound of Salt has a 4-step process that lasts from 3 to 5 years to produce the purest form of sea salt.

 

The 4-step process:

1. Washing

2. Dehydrating

3. Drying

4. Removing foreign substances/impurities

 

It is a safe and reliable process that produces the purest form of sea salt.
